Timberland and the greater VFC brand needed help training their designers on new 3D tools that were coming out at the time. Some of these tools included VR workflows, Substance 3D, Gravity Sketch, 3D Printing, and Zbrush. Nick had background in all of those tools, along with the skillset and knowledge of the footwear industry, and was invited to teach and train VFC’s & Timberlands designers.
The Solution:
Nick taught Timberland & VFC Designers on 3D & Exploratory Workflows including Gravity Sketch, Substance 3D & Zbrush. He hosted demos, lectures, and hands on workshops, on site, on each software suite. He had each designer at the event create their own 3D printed prototype using the tools and skills taught; Nick also developed concepts as apart of the Timberland Construct 10061 event.
